My Story So Far

Erin Fay Hastings Keck

Erin Keck was born in Salisbury, MD in 1985; she moved to Laramie to study at the University of Wyoming and to be closer to family. She later relocated to Green River, WY, and then ultimately settling down in Alamosa, CO with her husband Tyler.  Her artistic focus is primarily on abstracts and landscapes in a variety of acrylic styles. She also enjoys outdoor photography, making jewelry, and drawing with graphite and charcoal. Her favorite mediums are colorful abstracts and whimsical trees, an idea she believes has stemmed from the beautiful miniature tree structures her dad, Harvey Hastings, used to create out of native Wyoming sage. Her other interests include traveling every chance she gets, learning as much as possible, spending time outdoors and in coffee shops, and anything that helps her grow as a person. She believes life is about testing your boundaries and trying new things, about having an appreciation for not only what you have, but for what is in the world around you, and that beauty can be found in the simplest of things, you just have to look for it.

A Note From Erin:

The name "Above The Line Designs" came from the idea that I always strive to keep my energy above the line that divides positive/giving energy and negative/draining energy. Art has always been a centering force that's helped me to come back to myself, and I hope it can bring joy to others like it has for me.

Red Painting and Brushes

"If your everyday life seems poor, do not blame it; admit to yourself that you are not enough of a poet to call forth its riches; because for the creator there is no poverty and no poor, indifferent place."

Rainer Maria Rilke
